SMITHFIELD MARKETS REGENERATION

The project involves revitalization of the existing Smithfield markets while re-introducing the site's historic activities. Due to the unpredictable nature of the site being located at the heart of the city's core, many designs were tested to ensure maximum flexibility for future adaptations. The site's quality to emerge as a food market was recognized, that can potentially ameliorate the long standing health and employment deprivation of Birmingham.
